The Academic Advantage program is a valuable opportunity for middle school and high school students who are interested in a medical or dental career. The program is designed to provide students with all the information they need to succeed in the future. On Saturday, March 3, Henderson Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Center will host its first Academic Advantage event, which will bring together experts from the fields of medicine, college admissions, and educational counseling. These speakers can offer useful advice about preparing for the future by helping students understand the college admissions process and the requirements for succeeding in the healthcare profession.
If your child is between sixth and twelfth grade, they’re at an ideal age to attend the Academic Advantage program and begin preparing for their future. If you’d like to RSVP to our upcoming event, you can do so by completing the form below. Following the presentations by each speaker, you and your child will have the opportunity to walk around and visit tables and booths, where you will receive more valuable information about getting a jump on your child’s future.
What will students learn from the program?
Each speaker at the Academic Advantage event has been hand-picked because of their extensive knowledge of either education or medicine. Their success in their careers makes them the perfect professionals to talk to your children about pursuing a healthcare profession. Program attendees can expect to learn about the following:
- The most rewarding parts of a healthcare profession
- A day in the life of a medical/dental professional
- How to complete necessary training and education requirements
- The process of college admissions
- Tips for making a college application stand out
- How to get started
